Technology.....
It's everywhere we see, at institutes, universities, supermarkets, malls, restaurants and more. People or most of people around the world can not live without any kind of technology. We depend, sometimes too much, on all the benefits a piece of technology offers to the world, specially what we call: "Smartphones". They are everywhere and now it's easy to get one of these modern cell phones. They seem to help people a lot, but is that completely true?.
The first activity consists on writing a comment about your thoughts about Smartphones. Do you own one? What do you like and don't like about these modern cell phones? Post here your opinion in no less than 2 paragraphs.

Nowadays we know that technology place a lot of importance in our lives because it is very useful.

But now I wanna focus in smartphones If you get oneyou can donwload videos, take photos and surf in internet without necesity of turn on your computer or laptop. So we can see that a convenience part of this is smartphones is portability.
But in the other hand,
This smartphonescan generate adition if you are not able to get under control. Smartphones can limited you ideas and It can leave you open your mind to relevant things such as studies or paying attention to your family. In conclusion We should found a good form how take the control about it and we dont have to leave that this piece of technology take control of us.

I think the smartphones are a great help in our times because people are very busy and we need to communicate very fast. In my case, I have a smartphone and I use it for a lot of things ; for example, I used it for send my homeworks at the university , to chat with my friends , to download applications ,etc. I love this technology and I believe there are a lot of advantages. One of them is you can send emails with attached files, browse the Internet or watch videos on YouTube. Chat and text messaging allows you to send quick messages to friends and family. Also , there are many smartphones support GPS (global positioning system) functionality using 3G or 4G connectivity, so you always know exactly where you are, and you can find directions to your destination in moments and Perhaps the greatest advantage to owning a smartphone is the availability of thousands of small applications .Finally, it’s very important When they are used for business purposes, they can add to an employee’s productivity because the employee can work while traveling or from home if needed.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, today many people know the consequences or disadvantages on frequent use of the cell phones or smartphones, many of them have to do with health and overdependence. Some disadvantages that we must consider are: Mobile phones decrease productivity for employees who are constantly checking personal cell phones and making calls or sending texts when they're supposed to be working, is the same story with the students in class, decrease your concentration and have lower school performance. About the cost, the smartphones are more expensive than others for the benefits provided by the software or by paying a monthly subscription, etc. But, for me the most important is the health. Smartphones emit radiation and may be linked to brain tumors.

There are some advantages of having Smartphones:
* It has a lot of programs without necessary of use a computer.
* It does your life more easy. (Activities)
* In the work is very necessary to save time. (Conference, meeting)
There are some desvantages of having Smartphones:
* It is distraction for everybody, when they don't use correctly.
* When people have one they want to have all the time and are being to convert an addiction.
* Smartphones are dangerous, because you can risk your life. When you are get out to your home. (Reivers)

At the moment I don’t have a smartphone but I like to have one because the technology is currently around the world, is true that technology helps us and gives us many things smarthphones especially since not only serves to communicate with other people but through a smartphone can download videos, music, take photos, record videos, do work, go to many websites and can even locate a person who is not with us at that time, we can also locate and reach certain places you do not know.

Well, I don't have a smartphone, but I would like to have one because this modern cellphone has everything.

- It does that you don't have social life , so it can be addictive for the people.

I don't have a smartphone because for me is not necessary. I only need a cellphone for make call and send messages, but i know smartphones in some cases is necessary for people who have to work I think is good because do easy some things and also you can safe time,the problem is, when the smartphone cause stress because you don't have free time and you have to use your smatphonne all the day, now this is a big problem in the families, friends,coworkers people are losing communication, if you pay attention when you walk you can see a lot of people using a smartphone also a little kids using their smartphone, Why does a child need a smartphone? I can't understand that, i think is not a good idea.

I think smartphone should be only used for people to work in office but from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. then only used for make calls, the work shoudn't take home.

ReplyDeleteNowdays most of people have a smartphone not only for the messages or calls, the people use the smartphones to communicate with others by internet using social pages like facebook, twitter, my space, etc. the people also use the samtphone to do important things like homework, check e-mails, for example if you didn't have time to finish an important presentation in your laptop you can send you document to your cellphone and finish.
Unfortunately everything is not ok because when you use a smartphone too much it will become a sick.
I have a samrtphone and i have to accept that i am a vicious, i am on line all day and i know it's dangerous so i am trying to use it short times a day.
In conclusion, samrtphones are very cool, very useful, very helpful but you must know how to use it.

In my opinion the smartphones are a great way to make our lives easier but , as we know, everything has its disadvantages. If you overuse it you can get many problems like waste of time or earache or something like that, haha. I don't have a smart phone for now because I don't have enough money and I don't really need it. I'm ok with my cell phone because I just use it to make and recieve calls.

If you want a smartphone you have to be very responsible and distribute your time. :3

So If I use a smartphone, I don't need to use my laptop because a Smartphone is a mobile phone that incorporates a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant), most offer e-mail, instant messaging, Internet capabilities and a personal organizer. Some smartphones can link to your computer, making it easy to upload info to and from your phone, while others allow you to create and edit Microsoft documents while on the go. That has a built in GPS to help you navigate your way around. Most also have MP3 players and will allow you to download music as well. All these are the advantages .
the smartphones also have some disadvantages, like they are expensive and can get very pricey should you decide to buy the best models, overuse of your smartphone can make you forget to take care of yourself; another reason is, they can be complicated and finally, they are less personal. They aren’t cheap because the equipment required is expensive and the service in Peru is expensive too. Also Smartphones are complicated because sometimes they require programs that are difficult to learn and there maybe a need to download new programs in order to have a better performance; and finally they are less personal because you can’t see the persons face and their reactions or expressions when you are communicating with them.
That is my opinion.

Hello teacher! Well in my opinion the Smartphones are very cool, you can get many applications like games, flashlight, dictionary and other kind of stuff. I have watched all my friends using this kind of cellphones. In my case I don't have a cellphone because those are expensive and my mom doesn't have that amount of money. I would like to get one because my boyfriend is going to travel and I wish talk to him with the magical help of Skype and Facebook XD!.
ReplyDeleteWhat I like more of those cellphones is the way that i can connect with my friends and family. It's really easy surf in the internet and chat. I have a little problem, I love plays on line games like angry birds, bubble witch and solitaire. That is maybe one of my main reasons to have a smartphone. I have my cousin and he has a Samsung Galaxy, so he is always posting oh his Facebook but most of the time he's paying attention to the cellphone and not to the family. I don't like that about smartphones. Those reduce the human contact -i'm overreacting- but true history. The other day in my Class'es Halloween Party everybody was chatting and anybody dancing that could be turn a fun party in a boring one ><. The other day in my aunt's home there was a blackout, and all the cellphones were dead, so everybody was sleeping or playing cards. It's was fanny because we spent time talking each other playing cards and drinking coffee. My advise for people who maybe love to much their cellphones is: You'd turn off your cellphones and talk in the old fashion way with regular people, It's more interesting. Well, that is my opinion about Smartphones, Those could be interesting but also boring up to a point. Bhye bye see you teacher! C:

Well I think that technology device is very important in our lifes! Around the world people use it for different reasons, to communicate, to work, to play, etc.
ReplyDelete"Smartphones" are part of this and can help us save time and money.The main reason to use it is that you can get fosters communication, information, applications and more things that will help you in different places, situations and circumstances.I don't have one but I would like to get one because if I get one, I can to communicate with my friens, I can get information easily from internet and more things that I want do.Those are being used for everybody in the world because if you buy it, you can get a lot of benefits by what is sophisticated.The advantage of this is that you can to communicate easily because is not necessary to use your computer to send mails or another information.
On the other hand for me "Smartphones" also have disadvantages! The reason is that if you get one and if you don't have money to get internet, you don't going to can to do what you want to do.Also if you use it in some place that you don't know maybe a robber can steal you because those are used in different places like work, university, schools, etc.
Finally, I believe if you feel good with your cell phone, you don't need to change this but, if you want to get one, you have to care about it.
In conclusion if you don't really need a Smartphone, you don't buy it because you don't going to use correctly and it's too expensive. xp

Although I don’t have a Smartphone. I can think many things I could do with one. Obviously smartphones are a big advantage because they have a good camera, a touch screen, wifi, gps , etc. Also you can download many applications. These applications are very useful and make our lives easier. Nowadays many people won a lot of money creating applications, but not all are advantages about smartphones. I think smartphones are sometimes a distraction. For example, when I am in my university’s library I see many people who are only here for free WIFI and don’t study. I understand them because when I am at home on the computer the same thing happens to me. Some people are dependent on smartphones. I think everybody have a friend who are all the time with his smartphone sending messages or chatting, but also there are people who don’t like smartphones. They think smartphones are a constant distraction and could generate addiction. For them, cell phones only have to use it for doing calls or sending messages.

Actually I dont have a Smartphone cause I dont need one and I think that it is a waste of money. Its truth that a Smartphone is very convenient because it is very entertained you can acces to your social networks, save time cheking your hotmail anywhere, you can chat with your friends.A smartphone is almost like a computer so you can make a lot operations online and the internet can save you in many occasions.

For example, when you need a computer for researching information and you don't have one, you could use a smartphone, it can be useful. With this cell phone, you can get web access and do different activities like chating with your friends or sending messages.
But there are things that I don't like about smartphones. If you don't have control about usage of this modern cell phone, you will lose time, and won't do your diary activities very well. You could use this time for doing something more important. I think to have face-to-face interaction is better than spend time chating online. Finally, you are the person who chooses the usage of your smartphone!

i have a smartphone, i've found some benefits to this kind of cellphone, for example when you go to a conference or in a classroom maybe to record some dialogs from the professionals or teachers, in other cases you have to take pictures when you have a trip, to record videos or connect to internet to know where is the location of some place you don't know, when you're lost and you wanna find and address(All this with the GPS), to carry your music with you everywhere you go, benefits like a digital tv in your cellphone, videocalls, a lot of interactive games and apps that appear with their updates daily or monthly, the smartphones have a lot of this stuff and more and every year appears a new generation, but at the same time the smartphones are stressfull.
ReplyDeleteFor example, did you know about "the text neck"??? it's a disorder in the position of the neck caused by the use of smartphones, tablets, and other gadgets. Many hours a day with the neck bent down causes stiff neck, shoulder pain and headaches. I found this information in a tweet and i wasn't surprised because i knew that someday the people in the world would suffer a kind of illness related with the technology.
Well stress, disorders in our body, what's next? deaths by smartphones? they're a nice and entertainment tool for us, who doesn't go anywhere without one? because when we're bored... what's our solution? smartphone yeah!... but they're affecting in our social life and we've been keeping away from people and we prefer texting in our smartphone instead having a nice conversation with a partner, a friend.

Now I don´t have a Smartphone but I would like to have one because I think It's necessary for communicate fastly. Also you can use it for your homework or consult something in internet, check your facebook. Other advantage is that the smartphone is how a computer, it´s small and portable. you can go to different place and you don´t need a big bag or electricity. Also you can take photos, listen to music, see a videos, investigate something or have a map when you need to go somewhere you don´t know.

I think the Smartphones are so important in our life because It makes more faster to communicate with a person. Hi Teacher! A couple of months somebody stole my cellphone at the bus. Fortunately nothing happened to me for this reason I had to buy a new cellphone. I wanted to buy a simple cellphone but the salesperson told me about smartphones. I have to be honest I didn't wanted to buy one but the salesperson explained to me about more details of these cellphones for example: It has an internet (social networks) , wi fi, camera, mp3 music, video,etc.

ReplyDeleteWell I have a smartphone, I think it´s very neccesary because there are many appliances and you can use it when you don´t have a computer at hand, can you see smartphones in everywhere and more and more people have one. I think there are advantage and desadvantage for example if you want to check your e-mail and don´t have time to go to a cafe internet you can see in your smartphone, it can also help with GPS and locate a person and you can connect to the social network eveytime without having to be in front of the computer. Although not everything are good.

I think smartphones are very useful because we can do a lot of thing with them, and for that, we can save a lot of time. For example they have support of internet and we can read some documents of differents formats like pdt or programs of Microsoft Office, and a student could send a homework to his/her teacher using them. Also we can do other things such listen to music and take photos at the same time, and we can install additional programs. They are like computers, for that, if someone likes the facility of a computer he or she should buys one.

Well, first at all I don´t have one, but I think that having a smartphone can make our life easier, but it also have some disadvantages that are very problematic. One advantage of smartphones is that we can use internet through the free Wi-Fi in some places, you can enter to your Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. You can also listen to music and watch videos while you are waiting for someone or something.

So I think there are good and bad points of having a smartphone but the way you use it and where do you carry it depend of you.

I bought a smartphone last month, and I feel very happy because is the first time that I have this kind of cellphone. For example, when I’m at ICPNA and I don´t understand the meaning of the words I use the translate of my cellphone. When I’m at the university, I search a lot of kind of information that I need to do my homework.
My experiences with smartphones is very well but it has disadvantages because I know that there are some persons who spend a lot of hours on the internet, and they do it because have a smartphone, this is the cause, but the effect is that they are distracted and don’t finish their activities.Also, teens spend a lot of time playing games online with their smartphones and they don´t have control. These persons should try to spend less time on the internet because they could become addicted.
My recommendation is: “If you have a smartphone, try to use it for important things”.
